Small fae, about breast high, human breast that is, stumbled into the quiet lands. Her auds perked though, as if taking in the wild barks of the wolves. Her paws quivered, as she padded softly across the mossy logs. Her tail flicked, and she stopped.
Ino had been traveling for some time now, and it showed terribly. Her once sleek coat was now raggedy, and her eyes seemed to be dead of life. The fae's chest rose and fell, breathing in the sweet maple air.
As she stood, howls echoed through the trees. Ino's auds perked, and she howled back.

Teralt stopped to the sound of a howl. His ears perked up and he looked around, unsure of what to do. There was never lone wolves in the neutral lands, but this wolf sounded as if she or he was looking for someone. Or if they wanted to be found. He let out a long, deep howl and waited to see if there would be a response. He continued to lick at the dead rabbit which he had caught only minutes before the howl. He feasted on the dead rabbit while he waited, there wasn't much else to do.
ooc// Sorry, it's short.

o o c :: It's fine ^.^
b i c :: Ino's auds perked, taking in the sound of the howl. She tried to crack it, needing it be a fae or a brute. The small female shook her head, and decided it wasn't important. Her head raised slowly, letting a mournful call escape her soul and body.
As she finished with a more happier note, she flicked her tail. Ino wasn't the kind to be lonely that long. She needed a pack, and soon. Her paws led her aimlessly across the mossened earth, and over the mossy logs that had been lying in her path.
The female snorted, causing dust to billow around her. She smirked, and eyed the shadow of a small creature through the shroud of dust. The female readied herself, determining when to pounce.
Ino snarled, deciding to pounce right away. The creature looked up at her, and scurried off. The petit fae snorted, cursing under her breath. Her mind traveled back to the earliest howl, and her tail flicked in curiosity. " I need to find out who that was," she said softly, bearly being heard by the scurrying creatures in the Valley.
o o c :: Mine posts are getting longer though ^.^

For one with such a bulky frame one would think that his movements would be louder. He moved over fallen twigs and leaves with a serene grace. His maw almost widened into a smile as he thanked the gods for this small gift. When alone in a strange world one wanted to be silent. He crouched down into a small ditch, dark eyes tracing around the place.
First there was a lone howl. It sounded as from the lips of a dove, coated in gracefulness. Thoughts hummed around his brain. A dove. A dove walks these lonely lands. I wonder if she is also alone… though the middle of his thoughts another howl cut through the by then silent air. This by a brute for all he could tell. The howl was deep as from the bottom of the register. Nyx thought about allow his own howl to cut the silent dew swept air.
No. I will wait. he thought to himself as he made his way forward the world fell silent again. He was almost lulled into his normal thoughts of hunting and finding all necessary to wolven life. Then a small animal darted by, the large wolf jumped aside to allow it to pass. He could have caught it, but he felt as though it would be stealing someone else’s lunch. Now he moved forward more alert then before, ears perked forward in a wondering way. His eyes danced with the fire of curiosity as he sealed himself from view in a briar patch. He did not get hurt by this plant because his pelt was thick and made for colder territories. Grunting he crouched again, waiting for a view of what had made the animal run. Then she came into his line of vision. He assumed it was the dove that had loosened the first howl. Now he thought of what to do next. Reveal himself or stay where he was. He choose the second, his curiosity you see.

Post by [/li][li] Luka [/li][li] on May 18, 2007 10:35:32 GMT -5
Wandering through the forest, her pawsteps soft and quiet, Luka felt at home. It reminded her of her old pack, a place she missed dearly, but knew she would never return to. If she did she would surely be gripped once again by agony, and despair at what her beautiful home had become. Ravaged by flames, she didn't dare imagine what it looked like now. Instead she looked around this forest, enjoying the memories it bought her, though stering well clear of others that she would rather not dwell on.
Walking onwards, she came to a valley, and paused, wondering what to do now. She continued into the valley, wondering where exactly she was going. She kept her sense alert, noting all the smells and sounds aswell as the sights. She could tell that other wolves had come this way. But the scent she had found of them was stale. Then her ears pricked up as anothers howl rang out. She listened to it, trying to pinpoint the direction it was coming from. Then just as she had achieved this, another answering howl came.
She suddenly felt a longing to be with some of her own kind, having been alone for a while. She lifted her muzzle and let out a howl of her own, letting them know she was here. She decided to see if she could find the wolves, driven by an overwhelming need for company, if only for a little while. She padded throught the trees in the direction of the first howl, her silver locket jingling softly as she walked.

Teralt shot straight up at a final answer and yet another howl. He guessed easily that they were both female. He ran in the direction of the first howl, padding through the forest soft and fast. When finally he reached a wolf. Quietly before making his appearance clear he watched the wolf, which he could now tell definitely was a fae. He smiled and stepped forward. Waiting for the wolf to notice his presence. He cleared his throat, hoping this would help. He raised his head, unsure of what to do know, he guessed that all he could do now was wait.

Auds perked, she sensed the presence of three wolves. Two males, and another fae. Ino looked at the trees across from her, seeing a make appear. She nodded, and stepped back. She didn't trust males, and it wasn't time to start. The female growled, baring her sharp teeth.
Ino stood her grounds, not wanting to be taken down too easily. The female stopped, auds flicking back and forth. She flicked her tail, walking closer to the male. Her paws stopped her, nasals flaring. The other male was close, she could smell him.
Sitting down, Ino yawned. Her jaws snapped shut, causing the sound to echo through the trees. She smirked, debris falling from her coat. Her frame was thin, due to the lack of food.

Teralt bowed his head, in honor, not exactly knowing who she was or where she was from. But if she was an Alpha or any other kind of royalty then at least he had been somewhat kind. He sat down also, keeping his distance which seemed like that's what she wanted anyway. He smiled to her and looked around. He brought one of his paws to his mouth and tried to lick it clean, which of course didn't work too well with all the blood on his paw.

"Come," she said quietly, flicking her tail. Ino didn't want her space, she wanted someone to talk to. Someone to tell her that she was wanted. The fae smiled, but her auds were drooped.
She hadn't been wanted in her whole life. So what was any different? This male had to choices. Kill her where she stands, or accept her. Ino didn't know which one he would choose.

Teralt stepped closer to the fae. "What business do you have on my hunting grounds?" He asked. Okay so they may not have been his hunting grounds, it was a neutral territory. But he was so used to no one but his pack members being on these lands.
He sighed. At this point his Alpha, Timber probably would be worried that he hadn't returned from his hunting. Although, he had to admit that Timber worried too much and may need to settle down on the worrying.
